Sessions - Preparation (Agenda and Keys) for mentors

Unleash the potential of MentorKey's Sessions feature. This guide explains how to use the Agenda and Keys features to create clear mentoring session agendas, supporting you in having focused mentoring conversations. Elevate your session preparation with MentorKey.

What are Sessions - Preparation (Agenda and Keys)?

Using the Sessions feature on MentorKey before your mentoring session allows you to approach your upcoming session with a clear agenda, ensuring that you can articulate and focus on the specific topics you wish to explore with your mentee. Your mentee may choose to prepare for their session with you by setting the agenda or sharing a completed Key in advance of your mentoring session. You can find how to access completed Key they have shared with you by clicking here and an Agenda they have shared with you by clicking here.

There are two available features you can use to achieve this:

  1. Agenda
  2. Keys

Keys

This section outlines how to use the Keys feature from the Sessions page. If you want guidance on Keys from the Keys page click here

What is a Key?

Keys are concise self-guided reflections, designed to enhance your effectiveness as a mentor. They are focused on the most common mentoring topics.

Completed Keys are a summary of your thoughts and outputs from a Key. They can be used as a conversation blueprint for your mentoring sessions.

Adding a completed Key to a Session

Adding your Key to a Session enhances your session preparation by ensuring you have a well-defined focus for your mentoring session. Completed Keys can be added to a Session if you or your mentee have created a Session in MentorKey and you want to refer to a specific Key in that session.

Here are two ways that you can add a completed Key to a Session on MentorKey
